How to engrave a wooden hanger with Glowforge
I couldn’t help but add a Glowforge project. Man, I love using this machine. Sure the price is scary but It was the best business purchase I’ve made my money back plus more. Think of Cricut but a million times more possibilities. Plus here’s a coupon for $500 off (because I believe in you, babe)
Engraving hangers is the one of easiest projects you could do on your Glowforge. This project literally will take five minutes and you will have a professional-looking wooden hanger. Whether you are crafting for fun or selling these amazing hangers.
Materials Needed:
- Glowforge
- laser cutting machine
- wooden hanger
- masking tape
Plus did you know you use svg on the glowforge!!! So all the free svgs out there can be used for your next project.
Now on to the tutorial
Step One:
Picking your hanger. The one I’m using is from Amazon and it’s around a dollar and change for one hanger. That’s super cost effective if you are in business.
Place the hanger into your Glowforge, directly on the crumb tray.
Clean your lens and load your design. I recommend cleaning all your lens. I know….I know but It’s worth it.
Now here’s the important part. We are going to “Focus”. I normally focus my design around three times.
The settings I use is Thick Basswood Plywood. It’s a beautiful deep cut and I didn’t have to change my settings. My hangers come out perfect every time.
The last step is pressing the glowing blue button!!!! Waiting five minutes and enjoying your stunning hanger.
